Music That Inspires You

So, I had to perform open heart surgery on my computer, and thankfully [after an hour or so] I was successful. I didn’t forget about finishing up this week’s Music That Inspires You, by all means, it was a hectic day, and well. . .things happen. In my life, I’ve come to accept that, and expect it no less.

So that being said, I thought we’d finish the week out with some strong hits 😉  . . .and mellow down a bit.

I’ll see you guys soon. Take care, and enjoy your weekend.

Ott – Smoked Glass Chrome

I said we were starting out with some strong hits. . .remember? Well, this would be pretty damn equivalent to taking a long hit, and just savoring it. It’s low, it’s long, it’s got. . .it all! Music from the world. . .to the world to enjoy. Keep this one close, and save it for a day when you’ll think you’ll need it most.

Asura – Requiem From Nowhere

This one is a trip. It basically is. . .as the track listing states. Very enjoyable, especially, if you’re writing a lengthy bit about describing a setting, or such.

Boards of Canada – Music is Math

Well, yes. . .music is math. Everything is a calculation, from big to small, even the insignificant. I digress. . .it’s a pretty memorable track, one that lingers, and is fantastic. If you’re looking for something new, or need more for your musical arsenal. . .start here.

Funeral Suits – All Those Friendly People

I’ve heard that they sound similar to Modest Mouse, and other Indie bands. . .with their style. I think they’re in their own league, and honestly, this song is a superb one. Great lyrics and overall, fantastic lot. Check them out.

Dethklok – Murmaider

Original Dethklok Ver.

ArhyBES – Batmetal Returns [Murmaider]

Remember when I said on Wednesday that I’d have something for you guys regarding a list? . . .Check!

Virtual Boy – Mass

I found this lovely little ditty some time ago and it’s been saved ever since. I’d like to think it has that perfect balance of everything needed. . .and then some.

Also because I can, and I am. . .

Gorillaz – Crystalised

Done originally by The XX, Gorillaz did a cover. . . and here it is. Enjoy!

That wraps it up for this edition of Music That Inspires You. Check back next week for more fun times!
